There are not currently enough Community Solar fields to automatically subscribe all individuals into the program, making this a great time to take advantage of the current capacity. As states continue to mandate community access to renewable energy, there will be greater capacity in the future.

Solar-generated electricity offers consistent energy production using photovoltaic cells that convert sunlight into electricity, proving to be a reliable source of energy over fossil fuels. Because you will remain connected to the utility grid through your current provider, your service will not be impacted.

Community Solar farms make a profit by selling local, clean energy to utility customers by receiving a portion of the subscriber’s utility bill because the subscriber opted to use renewable energy credits. Community Solar farms have large margins, allowing subscribers to join the program at no cost and save money on each utility bill.
